Pregnant?

Dear Friend,

If you have stumbled across this website & are thinking about having an abortion, we have a few things we would like for you to consider.

First, if you are pregnant and considering abortion, then you are in the right place.  We are here to offer you hope, help, and real pregnancy options.

Second, we would like to thank you for taking the time to read this letter.  It is  possibly one of the most important letters you will ever read.

Third,  we want you to realize that all life is a miracle.  YOUR life is a miracle and the life of YOUR BABY is also a miracle. Life, is a blessing from God.

We are sorry you are in a situation that you feel like you have to kill your baby through abortion.  Think about if you had unlimited money & time, good supportive relationships, you had completed your schooling, and you had a stable job & life; would you really be considering an abortion?    If your answer was no, then you have just taken an important step to realizing that your baby is not the problem, it is the situation you are in.

The good news is that we can offer help for any situation in which you find yourself.   All you have to do is ask.  Regardless of how you may feel, you are not alone or helpless in your pregnancy.  Did you know that we can connect you with groups and organizations in your local area who can assist with medical care and housing if needed.   And, if you need help after your baby is born, we can connect you with groups who can offer help then also.

Did you know?

  • By 3 weeks your baby’s heart is beating?
  • At 6 weeks, brain activity is seen.
  • Around 8 weeks, all internal organs are present and functioning.Abortion would kill this 8 week old baby(8 week old baby)
  • At 9 weeks, your baby can suck his thumb.
  • After 12 weeks, you are done with the first trimester and a third of the way through your pregnancy
  • By 21-24 weeks, a baby can possibly survive on it’s own.

Even though abortion is no longer legal in Alabama, we realize it is still an option in other states.   But, do you really know what is involved in having an abortion?  Are you aware of, and do you understand, the side effects and potential complications of both medical and surgical abortions?  As well as, the short term and long term effects, physically and emotionally?  Do you understand HOW your baby is “terminated”?   Before you have an abortion, learn the facts.  How about watching an abortion before you have one? Have you ever talked to anyone who has had an abortion, not just soon after the abortion, but years later?  If you have not, you can meet some of these women here and read their stories.

Be sure you do not let ANYONE pressure you into having an abortion.   It must be your choice and it is illegal for anyone to attempt to force you to have an abortion against your will.   Never sign a document that will waive your legal rights to not hold the abortion business responsible if you are injured or killed during the abortion.

Please realize that there are other options besides abortion.  Abortion may seem the quickest and easiest “fix” to your problem, but what you may not realize is that it is also the option that will bring you the most pain, both physically and emotionally.

If you do not feel ready or adequate to become a parent, have you ever considered allowing your child to be adopted by a family who possibly cannot have children?   Many women say they cannot stand the thought of “giving up” their child or letting “strangers” raise them.  However, look at it from the baby’s point of view.  Adoption gives her life, abortion takes her life.  Aren’t you glad someone gave you a chance to live?

If you choose to have your baby, but then decide after she is born that you just cannot handle being a parent, did you know that there are “Safe Haven Laws”?  This is a law that allows you to leave your unharmed baby, up to 3 days old, with a hospital employee at the emergency room of any licensed hospital in Alabama with total secrecy, and a guarantee that the police will not be called for abandonment. No identification, no signed relinquishment papers, no medical history.   All states have “Safe Haven Laws” too.

If you choose to have your baby and have no idea how to be a parent, there are many organizations & people who would love to help & support you in this new role. All you have to do is ask for help.

Below is some very important information that can help you at any stage of your decision making process.
